Community Blood Drive Thursday January 22nd at BSB Courthouse
Vitalant will be behind a community blood drive coming up Thursday, January 22nd at the Butte-Silver Bow County Courthouse. The blood drive will last from 10:45am until 2pm and new donors are very much needed.
WHY DONATE BLOOD?
Donated blood is essential and life-saving being used every day for trauma victims, surgical patients, transfusions and even new mothers with postpartum hemorrhage and premature infants. A single blood donation can be separated into red cells, plasma and platelets, potentially treating up to three separate patients--potentially saving three different lives. In addition to being in high demand, donated blood is fragile with a very short shelf life and blood cannot be stockpiled. A fresh, constant supply of donated blood is needed every day.
HOW TO DONATE
Donating blood is incredibly easy and painless and scheduling is not a problem either. If you would like to book your appointment right now just click on this link. If you would like to book by phone, call 877-25 VITAL and use code buttesilverbow. If you would like to scan from your smartphone, here is the QR code.
The screening process is easy as you can see here. As an added bonus, Vitalant will be giving away 26 $500 gift cards and you will be eligible to win one of them if you make a donation between now and February 8th. Complete rules and regulations are available here.
