Vitalant will be behind a community blood drive coming up Thursday, January 22nd at the Butte-Silver Bow County Courthouse.  The blood drive will last from 10:45am until 2pm and new donors are very much needed.

WHY DONATE BLOOD?

Donated blood is essential and life-saving being used every day for trauma victims, surgical patients, transfusions and even new mothers with postpartum hemorrhage and premature infants.  A single blood donation can be separated into red cells, plasma and platelets, potentially treating up to three separate patients--potentially saving three different lives.  In addition to being in high demand, donated blood is fragile with a very short shelf life and blood cannot be stockpiled.  A fresh, constant supply of donated blood is needed every day.

HOW TO DONATE

Donating blood is incredibly easy and painless and scheduling is not a problem either.  If you would like to book your appointment right now just click on this link. If you would like to book by phone, call 877-25 VITAL and use code buttesilverbow.  If you would like to scan from your smartphone, here is the QR code.
