Masquerade Ball for the Arts this Saturday at Phoenix Block
Community supporters and art lovers alike are invited to step into a little mystery this weekend as the Imagine Butte Resource Center hosts a Masquerade Ball fundraiser on Saturday evening, March 7th.
The event begins at 5:30pm inside the historic Phoenix Block at 68 W. Park Street in Uptown Butte. Event organizers say the evening is designed to bring together creativity, community and a touch of old-world elegance, all while raising support for local arts.
Guests are encouraged to dress in semi-formal to formal attire and don a mask for the occasion. The masked theme adds a playful element to what organizers describe as an elegant and artistic night out in the heart of Uptown Butte.
A highlight of the evening will be a silent auction featuring pieces from the Lester Bridham Collection which includes fine art created between the 1950s and 1970s giving attendees a chance to view, and potentially take home, unique works from an earlier era of artistic expression.
In addition to the auction, attendees can expect a few surprises during the evening. Organizers say performances will pop up during the evening adding to the creative atmosphere. Hors d'oeuvres will also be served as guests browse the artwork and mingle.
While there is no cover charge to attend, donations will be welcomed and will go directly toward supporting community art programs and events hosted through the resource center.
For those who want to get fully into the sprit of the masquerade, the center has also been hosting mask-making nights leading up to the event. Supplies are available for a small fee giving the participants the chance to craft their own unique look for the ball.
The silent auction will wrap up promptly at 8pm but organizers hope the event leaves a lasting impression.
For anyone looking for a unique night out that blends art, creativity and community sprit, this masquerade celebration in Uptown Butte promises plenty of intrigue.
