Free Summer Meals for Kids program happening in Butte

No Butte kid should have to go hungry.  Heck, no kid anywhere should have to go hungry.  While we may not be in control of what goes on elsewhere, here in Butte, Action Inc. recognizes that many of our citizens, particularly our youth, are living in poverty and many families rely on free meals that are served to their kids while school is in session.  Unfortunately, that need persists when school is out as well and again this summer, Action Inc. will have several sites around town where kids can get a free meal.

Through August 18 there will be many sites around town where kids can get breakfast, lunch or both.  Here is a listing.

Blaine School, 973 N. Main:  grab and go breakfast and lunch, M-F 11am to 1pm

Butte High School Career Center, 1050 S. Montana: on site breakfast M-Th 8am-9am; on site lunch M-Th 11am-1pm

BSB Public Library, 226 W. Broadway: grab and go breakfast and lunch, M-F 11am to 1pm

Clarks Park, 1700 Wall: grab and go breakfast and lunch, M-F 11am to 1pm

East Middle School, 2600 Grand: on site breakfast M-F 8am-9am; on site lunch M-F 11am-1pm

Emerson School, 1924 Phillips: grab and go breakfast and lunch, M-F 11am to 1pm

Holy Spirit Church, 4201 Continental Drive: grab and go breakfast and lunch, M-F 11am to 1pm

JFK Park-Park in the Drives, Center and East Drive: grab and go breakfast and lunch, M-F 11am to 1pm

Kennedy School, 1000 N. Emmett: grab and go breakfast and lunch, M-F 11am to 1pm

Koprivica Park, 900 E. Second St.: grab and go breakfast and lunch, M-F 11am to 1pm

Legion Oasis, 3400 Hill: grab and go breakfast and lunch, M-F 11am to 1pm
