Another week and another big win for the Montana Tech Football Team as the Diggs rolled into Ashland, Oregon on Saturday and rolled over the then-No, 24 Southern Oregon Red Raiders 37-14.  The win moves the Orediggers to 4-0 on the young season with three of those wins coming against ranked teams.  The Diggers beat then No. 5  Montana-Western 38-27 at home in the season opener, went on the road to dump then No. 25 Carroll College 30-19 in Week 2 and also got a win over an impressive Rocky Mountain College team a couple of weeks ago, 34-23 at Bob Green Field.

With the win, the Orediggers have moved up to No. 6 in the latest edition of the NAIA Football Coaches Poll and as things are playing out, the Orediggers have certainly earned their place at the table.  Carroll had a bye week after their loss and last week blasted No. 11 Dickinson State on the road, 35-7.  Montana-Western came off their loss to Tech with a 52-0 whitewashing of MSU-Northern and followed it with a 35-21 win at Rocky Mountain.  As things have played out in the latest poll, Montana-Western comes in at No.9, Carroll moves to No. 18, Dickinson State checks in at No. 20 and the College of Idaho makes it's debut at No. 25.

Next up for the Orediggers is the aforementioned College of Idaho who will come into the contest a perfect 3-0 so far on the young season.  The Yotes got past Eastern Oregon in their home/season opener 21-17 followed by a 37-20 win at Rocky Mountain College in Week 2.  After a bye week, the Yotes beat MSU-Northern at home last Saturday, 38-16.
