National Night Out Tuesday at Butte’s McGruff Manning Memorial Park
Ask any law enforcement officer about community relations and they will tell you that it is an incredibly important part of their job. Building a rapport and strong ties within the communities in which they serve, while important, is sometimes difficult for law enforcement and first responders to achieve. Let's face it. When you're calling the police, you are calling for help in an emergency situation or because you are the victim of a crime. And in some cases, they could show up looking for you. It's definitely a touchy relationship.
This is why National Night Out is so important. National Night Out gives families a chance to meet local law enforcement officers and first responders in a relaxed and social setting. In Butte, this will be taking place at McGruff Manning Memorial Park this Tuesday, August 6th starting at 6pm. You are invited to bring the whole family for a chance to not only meet our local first responders, but for a free community barbecue and more. On hand will be guest speakers from the community plus games, prizes and plenty of music and fun.
National Night Out is brought to you here in Butte by Butte-Silver Bow Crimestoppers and McGruff Manning Memorial Park is located just south of the Berkeley Pit Viewing Stand on Farrell. Help take a bite out of crime and make plans to take your family to this fun and informative event. Meet and thank our towns law enforcement officers and first responders this Tuesday, August 6th
