Nearly three weeks have passed since Southwest Montana was shaken to the core as a senseless act of violence claimed 4 innocent lives and forever changed a tight-knit community.  Anaconda has always been the type of community where most are on a first-name basis and many were on a first-name basis with Nancy, Dave, Dan and Tony, the victims of the horrendous mass shooting at the Owl Bar on the morning of August 1st.  The folks at Carmel's Sports Bar & Grill, just 2 blocks away, were friends of all 4 and they are taking a big, brave step towards healing, recovery and even assistance.

This Saturday, Carmel's is hosting a "We Are Anaconda" car and motorcycle show that will serve not only as a fundraiser for the families and businesses affected by the tragedy but a community-wide gathering to share stories and honor the memories of the four and to offer support to anyone who needs it.  The day will include a car and motorcycle show with signups at 10am.  There is a $25 entry fee.  Live music is scheduled throughout the day on Alder Street between 3rd and 4th streets with Kyle Rife, Jason Mulhoney, Pickles and Co. and Sheri Jean with other special guests throughout the day and the karaoke finals at 9pm.  Live and silent auctions are planned as well as a 50/50 drawing.  They will be "passing the boot" for donations throughout the day as well.

If you are interested in making a donation or have any questions, please call Shane Charles at 406-531-2100.
