Coming July 31 through August 2, the coaching staffs of both the Butte High boys and girls wrestling programs will conduct a wrestling camp for young athletes from 5 years of age up to incoming seniors.

Action Inc. recognizes that many of our citizens, particularly our youth, are living in poverty and many families rely on free meals that are served to their kids while school is in session. Unfortunately, that need persists when school is out as well and again this summer, Action Inc. will have several sites around town where kids can get a free meal.

A legendary blues guitarist is coming to Butte. One who has 12 albums and several DVDs on the market and who has recently played to 60,000 people at his 50th birthday party. According to Guitarist Magazine he is on of the top 50 blues guitarists of all-time and has even drawn praise from "Slowhand" himself, Eric Clapton. His shows have been enjoyed in 37 countries across three continents. In addition to relentless charity work in and around his native Phoenix, he is a proud supporter of United States troops having done shows back in 2011 for our fighting men and women in Iraq and Kuwait.

It's another weekend full of food, music and fun at the Butte Elks Lodge 240 on Galena Street.

Let's take a look at the upcoming schedule for Butte Central Baseball while keeping in mind that the crazy Spring weather in Southwest Montana will undoubtedly mean that dates will change frequently.

Laura Rosenleaf and 8th grader Cadence Graham had 11 points each and senior forward Emmarie Richards added 10 as the Butte High Bulldogs beat Glacier High out of Kalispell 49-35 at Ross J. Richardson Gymnasium at Butte High School.

With the City Championship behind us, that leaves seven games in the Butte High basketball regular season. Those seven games represent the second trip through the Western AA.

Butte High School has released their schedule of activities for the week.

The decision on what to do after high school is a big one for practically every graduating senior this year. But when you have a state's entire congressional delegation in your corner, the decision can be, at least, a little bit easier.
