Whether you're a reveler or a runner, there's going to be something for you to do over St. Patrick's Day weekend here in Butte, America.  Not that there's ever a lack of activity in or around March 17, here is a look at some of the things you need to know about heading into the big holiday.

FREE CAROUSEL RIDES AND COLOR RUN AT STODDEN


The Hibernians here in Butte are sponsoring free rides on the gorgeous new carousel and if that wasn't enough, they will be giving out free green popcorn.  Other food items will be available for purchase as well.  You might want to put off indulging in popcorn and treats until after the Color Run that's being put on by Butte Cares.  Registration information is available here.

ELKS LODGE HOSTING BLARNEY STONE BAKE OFF AND MORE

If you're more into treats than treks, the Elks at 206 W. Galena is holding their Blarney Stone Bake-Off on Friday.  Setup is at 5pm and voting starts at 7pm.  If you would like to register, please call (406) 490-4751.  On St. Patrick's Day, the Elks will be serving lunch at noon with Reuben Sandwiches and Corned Beef and Cabbage with all the fixins', all while they last.  From 11 to 6 there will be Buck N Huff's mechanical bull riding, live music with Andy Larson from 1 to 4, a visit from the AOH Pipe and Drum Corps at 1:30 and Copper City Divas and Dudes Line Dancing at 3pm.  Doors open at 11am.  For table reservations, call (406) 490-2864

KIDS ZONE BEFORE AND AFTER PARADE AT THE ABODE

The Abode at 22 W. Park will have free kids activities from 11am to 2pm on Sunday.  Activities will include sidewalk chalk, a beanbag toss, hopscotch, jump-rope and more.

UNDERGROUND COMEDY SATURDAY AT THE MOTHER LODE

A very funny guy, TK Moyer will be performing as part of the Mother Lode's Underground Comedy Series on Saturday night.  Showtime is at 8pm and tickets are available here.
