Wylie and the Wild West, Erik “Fingers” Ray close Mother Lode’s Montana Music Series
The Mother Lode Theater's "Montana Made Music Series" wraps up this Saturday night and they truly may have saved the best for last. Wylie and the Wild West are set to perform alongside Wylie's brother Erik "Fingers" Ray in what promises to be an incredible show for all who enjoy western swing, blues and even yodeling.
Wylie Gustafson, in addition to having 24 albums and over 50 appearances on the Grand Ole Opry under his belt, also sports an impressive buckle on that belt having been inducted into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2019. Gustafson in a world-class yodeler whose familiar croon was originally used by Yahoo! as well as Taco Bell, Porsche, Walt Disney Films, Miller Lite and Mitsubishi just to name a few. Performances with his band are high-energy and crowd friendly. "We are a good-time cowboy band that hates to be boring," Wylie tells us.
Erik "Fingers" Ray is no stranger to the Mining City having played at the Silver Dollar Saloon dozens of times and accruing a faithful Butte following. He is a "honky-tonk bluesman who's unique one man show has thrilled audiences and kept rowdy dance hall floors full."
Showtime is 7pm, tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for students and the show is sponsored by TDS Telecom and the Miner's Hotel. Get advance tickets here. If you're coming from out of town, stay the night and make a weekend of it. Special hotel room rates are available for Mother Lode patrons.
