Legendary and renowned traditional Irish band, Derek Warfield & the Young Wolfe Tones will be headlining a very special concert Friday, September 19th at Butte's historic Mother Lode Theater on Friday, September 19th.  The concert will kick off a very fun and festive weekend of Irish Hurling and associated, well, shenanigans with the Butte Wolfe Tones hurling club's annual draft tournament.  The weekend will include a lot of fun events but let's take a look at the wonderful music that will get the weekend underway.

Derek Warfield & the Young Wolfe Tones are one of the world's most celebrated Irish ballad groups but their show is much more than song alone.  The group brings an evening of not only traditional Irish music and patriotic song but they bring authentic Irish storytelling that will both touch and entertain you.  Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones have a legacy that is rooted in Irish Freedom, heritage and culture.  This internationally renowned band sports over sixty years of musical tradition and their vibrant energy still rings true with the generations that have followed.  Their music has echoed across festivals, concert halls and historic commemorations all over the world and have even been here in Butte previously at the An Ri Ra festival a few years back as you may remember.

The show at the Mother Lode Theater will not be just an enjoyable and entertaining show for the family.  It will kick off a fun weekend of Irish Hurling which is gaining momentum in Montana and even has a local chapter here in the Mining City.
