This Saturday you are invited to a Mardi Gras party of sorts.  No, we're not asking you to go all the way to the French Quarter of New Orleans, just down to Stodden Park and the incredible Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel where you will find this year's annual fundraiser, "Mardi Gras Magic".

The Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel is one of the most beautiful and sentimental attractions you will find in the Mining City.  It took decades to complete the incredible facility which is modeled after and a tribute to the wonderful carousel that was found at Butte's lost, historic amusement park, the Columbia Gardens.

You will find a carousel full of intricately-detailed carved wooden horses that are simply breathtaking, but that's just part of it.

The carousel has a pair of seating/picnic areas, a fantastic food stand and even ice cream.

While the carousel can never fully replace the Columbia Gardens, it is an incredible tribute to the Gardens' history and even has some historical remnants on display.

The new Carousel has become a Butte icon of its own as a gathering place for friends and families for many years now, each making their own new memories in a beautiful and historical setting.

This Saturday's fundraiser is for adults only and plays a huge part in the overall operating budget for this Butte landmark.  The doors will open at 4:30pm with dinner served at 6:30 along with drinks, games, a silent auction and, of course, carousel rides.

If you would like tickets, please contact Quincy at (406) 498-6411.
