Montana Made Music Series kicks off with Pinky and the Floyd at Butte’s Mother Lode
Given our relatively small population, Montana is quite remarkable considering the number of incredible musicians and great bands that have come out of our state. From Country to Classic Rock, from Heavy Metal to Hip Hop, you will find that not only do these acts come from the Treasure State, but that they are as good as any that you'll find in their respective genres. It is in that spirit that the Mother Lode Theater in Butte is kicking off their Montana Made Music Series this Saturday with one of the hottest Montana bands out there today.
Pinky and the Floyd, as you may have already guessed, is a Pink Floyd tribute band but what sets them apart is not only their incredible talent but their relentless attention to detail, from the notes in the songs to the props on the stage. Here's a look at what they did at the Kettlehouse a little while back.
Pinky and the Floyd have been performing together since 2008 and have been called the best Pink Floyd tribute band in the northwest and have gathered quite the following all across Big Sky country. Showtime is 7pm this Saturday night and tickets can be purchased for this show alone or as part of the entire Montana Music Series which features upcoming shows by Rob Quist and Great Northern with special guest Halliday Quist and Wylie and the Wild West with special guest Erik "Fingers" Ray. Discounted hotel rates are also available for Mother Lode patrons.
