Butte Bulldogs send open invitation to the city Friday with “Kids Night” and annual Purple and White Games

The Butte High Bulldogs are rolling into the 2024 Athletic Season by rolling out the red, er, purple carpet that is, for the entire city this Friday as the fall sports programs wrap up preseason drills with the annual "Purple and White" series of intrasquad scrimmages and time trials, including the cross-country, volleyball, soccer and football programs.

"Purple and White" night is always a fun way to say goodbye to summer and to get to know the kids behind the uniforms that we'll be cheering for this fall, but what's going to make this one extra special is that the Bulldogs want to get to know personally their young fans that will be in the stands this season.  "Kids Night" is officially a part of the tradition as young Bulldog fans will not only be given a chance to meet their young heroes and role models but the first 100 kids in attendance will be given a free Bulldog Poster for autographs courtesy of Colt Anderson's Dream Big Montana project.  In addition to that there will be free pictures with the Butte High Bulldog mascot and the Extra Sprinkles ice cream truck will have goodies available for purchase.  Bulldog Fall Kickoff begins at 3pm at Naranche Stadium with Kids' Night beginning at approximately 4pm.

Of course, there is stuff for the older kids, too.  The Butte Athletic Council invites all athletes, parents, family and fans of all Butte High School teams to be their guests at the annual BAC Kickoff at Naranche Stadium starting at 5pm with food provided by the Butte Athletic Council.  BAC memberships will be available for $125 and will include 2 passes to all Bulldog regular season events.

VOLLEYBALL (BHS Main Gymnasium):

Frosh vs. Frosh - 3pm

Frosh Purple vs. Sophs - 3:40pm

Frosh White vs. Sophs - 4:20pm

JV vs. Varsity - 5pm

CROSS COUNTRY (BOYS AND GIRLS) - Time trials will finish at Naranche Stadium and are expected around 3pm

SOCCER (Naranche Stadium):

Boys scrimmage - 4pm to 5pm

Girls scrimmage - 5:15pm to 6:15pm

FOOTBALL (Naranche Stadium) - Purple and White game 7pm
