Whether you're a dog lover, a supporter of Veterans, a connoisseur of fine spirits or any combination of the aforementioned, Slainte Butte, America Pub and Willie's Distillery of Ennis are holding the "Critters and Cocktails" event Thursday from 5 to 8pm at Slainte, 8 S. Montana.

Willie's has just released a new whiskey called Cattle Dog which will donate proceeds to the Dog-Tag Buddies program. Dog-Tag Buddies has a program that is focused on helping veterans live more fulfilling lives through training and building a relationship with their service dog. This helps them find methods to recognize and manage the symptoms of their hidden injuries, discourages self-isolation, and helps find a renewed sense of purpose.  Representatives from Dog-Tag Buddies and Willie's will be in attendance, and they urge any local Veterans to stop by and apply for the program in order to be matched with a service dog in training of their own.

Willie's Distillery is veteran-owned as Willie Blazer has served our nation in many capacities including as an Army Ranger and later as a smokejumper with the U.S. Forest Service.  Willie along with his late wife, Robin, founded the distillery in 2010 with the goal of capturing the spirit and authenticity of the American West while supporting the local economy and residents.

Slainte is quickly becoming one of the Mining City's hotspots with 3 floors of entertainment offering 40 beers on tap and 100 more varieties in cans and bottles along with a selection of fine wine.  Slainte has everything from a rooftop bar to a retro arcade spread out over 3 levels.
