One of Butte's most popular summer events, Lunch in the Park, returns to Emma Park this Wednesday from 11:30am until 1:30pm.  Lunch in the Park is a family friendly gathering of families, community members and folks on their lunch break who want some sunshine in their afternoon along with a song or two and maybe something from the food trucks that are on hand.

Lunch in the Park is brought to you by Friends of Stodden Park along wtih the Butte/Silver Bow Parks and Recreation Department who are on hand each week with information about the different things that the department has to offer your familiy and our community.  Also on hand, a variety of local food trucks offering everything from noodle bowls to fresh, hot doughnuts and a different musical guest each week to entertain the lunchtime crowd.  This week's musical guest is local band High Ore Road who play a variety of classic rock, country and classics.

Lunch in the Park is family friendly with activities for the kids and even the appearance of the Foam Machine on hot afternoons, so don't forget to pack along a couple of extra towels if your kids plan on participating.  You are also free to bring lunch and beverages from home but please leave your pets at home.

This Wednesday's Lunch in the Park will kick off a busy 3rd of July in Uptown Butte with Rodney Atkins performing later in the day at the Original Mineyard and the annual Town Pump Fireworks Display to follow.  Please drive with particular caution in Uptown Butte as activity and events will be going on throughout the day and evening.
