You need not any extra motivation to attend the Taylor St. Pierre Medical Benefit coming June 8 to the Elks Lodge in Butte at 206 W. Galena.  After all, Taylor is an awesome girl with one of the most positive attitudes you are going to find.  Made more impressive is that Taylor has been battling Pancreatitis for over a decade now, yet her smile remains. You would never know looking at this vibrant, positive, beautiful young woman that she is in need of a life-saving surgery.

But Taylor is a fighter, and she comes from a fighting family with deep Butte roots.  Her father, Curt, is a proud veteran and Taylor has inherited his indominable spirit. Taylor is in need of what is called a Total Pancreatectomy with Auto Islet Transplant (TPAIT) and this surgery, which will take place in Minneapolis, will require Taylor to be hospitalized for three weeks and to live in Minneapolis for six weeks afterwards.  Taylor and her mother, Heidi, will take on this time together but both will be away from work while the bills pile up.

Taylor's benefit will raise much-needed funds for this procedure and prolonged stay and will also feature dinner, some fun games like Singo and a few incredible items in the silent auction, particularly if you are a fan of the NFL or the Chicago Bears.  The silent auction will feature a jersey signed by Bears Hall of Fame Linebacker Brian Urlacher and a helmet signed by the legendary Iron Mike Ditka who coached the Bears to their Super Bowl victory to conclude the 1985-86 season.

Donations can be made in care of the Taylor St. Pierre Benefit at Butte Community Federal Credit Union at 2901 Grand Avenue or you can donate directly to her gofundme page.  Here is a QR code to scan:
