Arrival from Sweden, the world’s top ABBA Tribute Act, performs Friday at Mother Lode Theater
The Mother Lode Theater in Uptown Butte is going to send you back in time this Friday night with Arrival from Sweden, the world's foremost ABBA tribute act and their show "The Music of ABBA" which, by many accounts, is as close to the 70s supergroup as you can get.
In fact, Arrival from Sweden was founded by ABBA Original Musician Rutger Gunnarsson and the Swedish artist Vicky Zetterberg in 1995 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since their formation they have toured in over 80 countries, done almost 140 successful USA tours and has appeared in several TV and radio shows all over the world. Arrival From Sweden has also played with more than 150 symphony orchestras from all over the world. If that was not enough, their incarnation was actually given an unreleased ABBA song before the original band recorded it. . The song “Just A Notion” was released by ARRIVAL From Sweden in 1999 and was yet again released by the original ABBA in 2021 on their latest record “Voyage.”. The song was presented to the group directly from Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson of ABBA. So they've got clout.
They also have talent. "The Music of ABBA" included everything anyone would expect from an ABBA show. Brilliant costumes and choreography. Incredibly talented musicians and performers and all of the ABBA songs you know like "SOS", "Take a Chance on Me", "Gimme Gimme Gimme", "Knowing Me, Knowing You", "Super Trouper" and many more.
Showtime is set for 7pm at the Mother Lode Theater, 314 W. Park Street in Butte. Advance tickets are available here.
