Butte Central lists weekly activities
The Butte Central Maroons will be busy on the home diamonds this week as the baseball team will host an early pair and the softball team will host one of the state's biggest softball tournaments later in the week. The Tennis and Track & Field teams will also be in action.
BASEBALL
After picking up their first varsity baseball win in school history last week, the Maroons will start a two-game homestand Wednesday as they host the Belgrade Panthers at 3 Legends Stadium with the varsity game at 3pm and the JVs at 5. The Lone Peak Bighorns come to town on Thursday with the same start times. The team will be on the road Saturday to face the Browning Indians in a varsity contest in Cut Bank at noon.
SOFTBALL
It is going to be an incredibly busy week for the girls as they travel to Dillon on Thursday (varsity at 4pm, JV at 6) and return to Stodden Park Friday and Saturday to squeeze in 4 games in the LaVerne Combo tournament. On Thursday the ladies will meet the Anaconda Copperheads in a nonconference tussle at 3:30 pm and will return at 7 for a game against the Frenchtown Broncs that will count in the Southwest A standings. On Saturday their pair of games will begin at 12:30 with a nonconference game against Custer Co. and their weekend will wrap up with a conference contest against Stevensville at 4pm
TRACK & FIELD AND TENNIS
The Tennis Team will see action Thursday at East Helena with matches beginning at 4pm and will return home Saturday to host Stevensville with matches starting at noon. On Friday the Track and Field teams will be in Livingston at the Park High invitational with events getting underway at 10am.
