World Museum of Mining Community Cleanup Day is Saturday
Butte's World Museum of Mining, one of the finest and most intricate museums of its kind in the entire world, is preparing for its 60th season and wants to look sharp.
In terms of the actual size of the museum grounds paired with the number of exhibits and attractions, the Mining Museum may be in a league of its own. Of course, you will find a wealth of information and things to view inside the guest center.
But it is when you go back outside and see Hell Roarin' Gulch, the mining camp replica constructed outside and including some actual period pieces, that your breath is truly taken away.
There is even an actual underground tour where you go inside the actual Orphan Girl mine shaft at the 100 foot level.
To say that the World Museum of Mining is an important part of Butte's history and culture is truly an understatement as people travel far and wide every year just to see this wonderful attraction. Would you be interested in lending an hour or two on Saturday to help clean up?
