3rd Annual Big Butte Brewfest Saturday at World Museum of Mining

What better way to send off the summer than an afternoon in the shadows of the Big Butte enjoying not only our incredible World Museum of Mining but a rapidly growing brewfest featuring live music, great food and a fun afternoon of sampling the fares of some great local breweries, distilleries and food trucks.  The 3rd Annual Big Butte Brewfest will take place this Saturday, August 24th from noon to 6pm.  Let's take a look at who's participating and what we can expect.

BREWERIES

Butte will be well-represented as Butte Brewing Company will again be a major part of the festivities along with their Mining City counterparts, Quarry Brewing.  Yes, Quarry Brewing is opening their doors again!

Also taking part and representing Southwest Montana incredibly well will be the popular Philipsburg Brewing Company, Ruby Valley Brew from Sheridan and the Missouri River Brewing Company out of East Helena.  Making the trek all the way from Billings will be the folks from Meadowlark Brewing and from Boise, Idaho will be representatives of Sockeye Brewing.  Schilling's Cider House from Seattle will be on hand featuring their incredible cider that is made using hand-pressed apples and locally sourced ingredients from their beloved Pacific Northwest in creating a line of incredible beverages we'll be able to enjoy as well.

DISTILLERIES

Area distilleries will also be a part of the celebration this year as Butte favorite Headframe Spirits will have a tasting booth as will Willie's Distillery out of beautiful Ennis, Montana.  On the food truck side of things, we are in for an exotic treat with Dat Cajun Kitchen.

LIVE MUSIC

We are in for a treat musically as the incredibly talented Johnny Dango will start things out from 12pm to 1:30pm and Butte's High Ore Road will play from 4pm to 6pm.

Online tickets are available through Friday, August 23rd for $35.  The price will increase to $40 for tickets at the gate.
