The Dillon Jaycees certainly know how to kick otf the summertime in Southwest Montana and they've got some fun stuff happening on June 10.  The Beaverhead County Fairgrounds will be jumping all day and into the night with the 50th Anniversary Demolition Derby with a concert again to follow.  This year the featured act is rock band Hinder.

Tickets just went on sale for the Demolition Derby and a big crowd is expected so early purchase is recommended.  This year there is a $15,500 purse so things may get a little crazier than usual, even by demolition derby standards.  Entry forms and complete rules are available at www.dillonjaycees.com for those of you who may be interested in being more than just a spectator.  And if that is not enough, there is also added prize money for UTV barrel racing which is open to participants 16 years of age and older.  The derby is scheduled for a noon start time.

Later in the evening, the rock band Hinder will be taking the stage. Hinder burst onto the rock scene in 2005 with the release of their debut album, Extreme Behavior which featured their breakthrough hit "Lips of an Angel" which went to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Hinder is no stranger to Southwest Montana having played here many times before to very receptive crowds.  Tickets to their Dillon show are $25 and available here

The Dillon Jaycees are practically synonymous with community involvement and activity in the Beaverhead Valley.  This is the organization that brings us the annual Labor Day Parade and Concert in the fall along with countless other smaller events throughout the year.  Are you interested in becoming a member?  Click here for all of the details on joining.
